Babe? Babe, are you up?
Oh, you were asleep?
Oh I’m sorry, no you can go back to bed in one second, I just have a super quick thing. It’s getting cooler out, so I was thinking maybe I’d shut off the air conditioning and open the windows.
No no, only if you think we should. I don’t want to do something you’re uncomfortable with. I was just thinking about, you know, how air conditioners emit hydrofleurocarbons, which have 1000-3000 times the global warming potential as carbon dioxide, and I don’t want to be contributing to that. That would really suck. But I’ll do it if you want me to, I’d rather not get into a whole argument or anything.
I was also thinking, like, this crisp evening weather isn’t going to last too long. Since climate change leads to more extreme weather, we might be hitting some cold winters and warm summers, so we should really soak this in. Don’t you think? I don’t know, I mean that’s just my two cents, let me know how you feel.
Now that we bring it up, you know, maybe we should look into replacing our air conditioners. Currently they have ones running on much less harmful gasses, and soon they will even have ones that run on solar energy. Maybe we should wait on one of those and just emit HFCs for a couple more years? Whatever, I’m not going to bug you.
Sorry, you can go back to sleep, I’ll just stay in a hotel.
